My story is simple đŸ™‚
The way I became acquainted with beads.
It all started when I was 7 years old, when my mother gave me an homemade bead bracelet. A friend of my Mom made it specially for me. The bracelet was very simple, executed with a technique called: “basic right angle weave”. But for me it was like a miracle. Beads gave me an infinite fantasy — small beads with holes, from different materials, different shapes, sizes and colors. I fell in love with them!
I tweaked around, dismantled and re-beaded this simple bracelet again and again until the colors faded and the nylon broke. Then, suddenly the search for new materials became urgent. The cotton or nylon thread were easy to find (since my dad liked fishing), but the beads, now that was another story: I didn’t know anything about them. But slowly I collected broken jewelry, unused bracelets and old bijoux materials from family, from neighbors and whatever I could get my hands on.
I became fascinated by new techniques, and couldn’t stop exploring literature on beading. I was fortunate to meet different Masters from whom I gained knowledge and perfected new techniques.

My own definition of art creation is the sharing of one’s inner thoughts, feelings, emotions, visions, and struggles through multiple mediums. To me, “art” is everywhere, it surrounds us on a day to day basis.

The decoration of my work are characterized by increasing elaboration as time went on. From one stage to another, beads, fabrics, forms and motives of decoration developed in me gradually and will stay forever.

My work on jewellery is all about playful nostalgia. Alluring, sophisticated and precious, jewels are true ancient and modern icons. I obviously have a great love and appreciation of jewelry, thanks to my mother.
